LEARNING TOLERANCE:
Our hard-fought goal at All One Heart is to begin to go in to the classrooms of K-12 schools to help children learn tolerance through a
program we will adapt from the World of Difference Institute, the Teaching Tolerance Institute, and numerous other resources in compilation. We will call our program "Learning Tolerance with All One Heart"(c). This will enable us to further extend our efforts to start young in teaching
our children to be tolerant of diversity and accept without fear - but with love - our diverse cultures and personal differences. The goals of All One Heart are to help educate about medical conditions, cultural and religious differences, age, and race. We know that with education comes understanding and that understanding can remove unwarranted fear, which then promotes tolerance, and often a personal bond.
Our world is such that all children from now on will live multiculturally. Through the advent of the Internet, the World Wide Web now in our TV sets, planet
Earth is becoming more of a neighborhood. We must look beyond the boundaries we have made for ourselves of prejudice and hate and open our homes, our hearts, and our minds to the reality of human diversity.
We hope to provide tools that can help children create a more harmonious existence for their future.
First, we must obtain Grant Funding to: 1) support our daily activities, and 2) to hire talented, experienced educators to learn all we can about these subjects and
put together a curriculum 3) support salaries for these talented educators to train other educators and go in to the schools to implement this curriculum.
Second, we must obtain Grant Funding to maintain and expand a program that will enable us to go out in to the schools and implement this curriculum. It is a fact that
our worlds teacher's have their hands full and cannot find time to add in more to their session plans.
Bottom line: WE NEED FUNDING!
